Laryngoscopy is an examination that lets the doctor to look at the back of your throat, your larynx (voice box), and vocal cords with a scope known as laryngoscope. Direct Fibre-optic (Flexible or rigid ) Laryngoscopy: Direct Fibre optic Laryngoscopy (FOL) lets the doctor to see deeper into your throat. The laryngoscope is either flexible or rigid. Flexible laryngoscopes show the throat better and are more comfortable for the patient. Rigid laryngoscopes are often used in surgery.
